Looks like you didn't get hit too bad at least, though power outage followed by cold weather still sucks. A lot worse than here in Baltimore though. My boss lost power but I don't think there was any real flooding anywhere; I still haven't heard from a friend in Manhattan though.

There was 5 feet of water in every direction around my house. My car was under 3 to 4 feet of water... It's pretty bad.

It didn't look like any trees fell on your house or car. Your house or entire neighborhood didn't burn down. NY and NJ definitely got hit the hardest, but I just meant that the pictures of your neighborhood, besides the one burnt down building, don't look as bad as all of the pictures the news displays; I guess I should have said it doesn't look as bad as some of the other areas in NY or NJ.

I'm in a low lying coastal flood area on the water. The pictures don't do it justice, most of my neighbors lost everything - just dumpsters up and and down my block. Flood damage is bad. Just saw underneath my house - black, green and white mold everywhere - plywood falling off, insulation is soaked and falling apart. Started cleanup though - no power yet though. We'll get through it.

1 insurance claim done. 3 to go... Contractors coming tomorrow to check the foundation of my house. Meh.

My living room is empty aside from a TV... everything is by the curb.

Well, they're totaling out my Jeep – those of you that know me – know how much I like my Jeep. It sucks, I spent a lot of time and money building that rig. Waiting for a call from my Insurance company to finalize my claim… Flood insurance guy is coming on Sunday, Construction crew is coming on Saturday to start ripping my house apart – my rear retaining wall pulled out by about 2 inches (unsure if its structurally dangerous yet), crawl spaces are falling apart, no insulation under my house, mold growing everywhere… what a mess.

And now... a freakin' nor-easter snowstorm!

It'll be nice when things return to normal. To think a week ago we were wondering where we were going to sleep... I'd like to be making other more important decisions, like "What class should I play?".
