It's been a long debate for me, but lately I've been considering mostly :

Human Engineer
Asura Thief

"Why bother with those ridiculously engorged races? What a waste of bio-matter. Wouldn't you agree? Everyone knows that the Asura are the superior race in all of Tyria. Why, if it wasn't for our technology. The other races would be trudging along in wagons travelling from zone to zone!"

I'll be doing a Charr Ranger to start with... to gather all the pets and also Lion-Man with a Bazooka!

After that... a Midget Engineer so I can summon a mecha.

Oh I will! I'm just not sure what I will focus on yet at launch.

Other characters I'll eventually have will be a Charr Guardian and some race (Sylvari, maybe?) Elementalist. I'd actually consider these professions for launch if that's what our guild needed.

Everyone should also keep in mind that if they continue the Birthday System from the first game. It would be wise to create all the characters you can with your desired name (all one word names are up for grabs since gw1 required 2 names or more), that way you get to save the name you wanted on your account, recreate it and not have to worry about someone else taking it, because you will have a 24 hour placeholder on that name. So all in all, make your main the way you want it, enter name, login (since it forces to log you in) and log back out, go through the character creation, click random race, skip to end (bottom right button) and enter the desired name, login, logout, repeat. 😉

Lade I just can't wait for WvWvW when we have quite a few of of us Asuras I mean how intimidating would it be to see like 20 Asuras on mechs heading toward you.
