Hello, I was looking through the GW2Guru forums and saw your post. I'm looking to contribute to a guild that is looking to have fun and build a strong sense of community. The reason why I play MMOs is because I enjoy playing with smart, fun people.

I really agree with your attitude of 'be serious when you need to be serious'. My MMO experience is 5 years of World of Warcraft with 4 of those years dedicated to competitive PVP where my team competed at tournament events and sponsored conventions. I'm not one of those annoying elitist gamers that wants everyone to know how good I am and bow at my feet, but I thinks it's important to note that I'm not a noob.

I simply don't have time to dedicate 5 hours a day to GW2 but when I sit down to play I want to have a good time with friends. From what I have read about TB, it looks like a great opportunity for me to contribute to a solid group of friends.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post,
Mark

Welcome to the forums Turbochef. From what you are saying and wanting I do believe this is the guild for you I joined back when DCUO first came out for PC and have had a blast with this group ever since. The community is nice and funny. After being on mumble with them enough I can tell you that its like i've been friends and known these people for years. We all enjoy harrassing each other from time to time in the spirit of good times and laughter. And we do know when to get serious we look for people that are over the age of 18 because the jokes and most young gamers do not know how to be serious and respectful at times.

I saw that you said you could not play 5 hours a day and thats fine. That is one of the beauties of this PVP Guild. We all understand that gaming is a HOBBY not your LIFE. Shit happens and sometimes people get busy with work, other friends, college and just having a life. So if you are looking to join a community and not just some serious you gotta be on every friday at 8 pm pvp guild, then join us.

Hope this helps and hope to see you on Yak's bend.

PS: If you have anymore questions and need some more knowledge about the Guild please PM Edgey(The Guild Leader), Dvil, Zleeper, or Geevious. They should be able to answer any and all questions you have.

Hi, I am an RL friend of Mark's (Turbochef), also looking for a GW2 guild to be a part of; I was directed here by him. I'm looking for a guild that feels like a family but is serious about the work we get done in game. I love the sense of community and the team effort required of most MMOs.

My experience with MMOs began with Everquest; however, this was limited primarily to roleplaying and exploring...I do still enjoy writing stories featuring my characters (and guildmates) and I think the GW2 universe will be interesting for this. Eventually I became WoW player for 4 years. I was in a dedicated PvP guild for one year before cross-realm PvP was introduced. We were the most successful PvP guild on the Alliance side of Rexxar, and I obtained the rank of Commander. My other guild was focused on 20/40 raids.

Like Mark, I am not here to brag about accomplishments, but I do think it is important to make note of a history of gaming experience. My favorite part of PvP is playing a distinct role and following the orders of an intelligent, proven leader, all while having fun, of course. My ideal guild would be one that I can hop into the game and have a great time just socializing, or hop into a PvP game or dungeon run with guildmates...not one that is on a strict schedule.

Let me know if you think this seems like a good fit.

Sounds like a good fit - singing of our adventures on voice while playing a lute would be a huge bonus though 😉
